Spun a big end bearing in the bottom end so gonna rebuild it. Stronger crank, rods, pistons and up the comp if I do cams but after looking into the power gains from them and it doesn't really seem worth the dollars in a Ford. Holdens get way better gains from cams.

Might even just port and polish the heads I've read on ford forums a lot of people have had decent performance gains from it. Sort of in planning stages on what I want to do at the moment.

But with the help of my old man going to rebuild it ourselves and see what I can learn on the way. I've only ever rebuilt a 250 crossflow and dirtbikes and jetskis. I guess the boss wont be too much different though.
Me old man use to be a panel beater, mechanic, spray painter so he knows what he's doing.

Pete, rebuild it as stock and slap a Kenne Bell on it. dont bother wasting money on the heads, cams and other crap, you will just make it a money pit. . . .

Speak to Dave about his old BA he will tell you the same. . .

dute. . . . .

Yeah but I was thinking whilst I got it apart might as well polish the heads not like its going to take that much and would greatly assist a blower if I was looking at throwing one on.

I've looked into the price of cam's, port and polish, boring the block.
Anyways its all quite expensive. Going to go with what Pete said and throw on a Kenne Bell!
Got the engine all unbolted, took the fuel rails off, unbolted gearbox, cats, starter, etc etc took 8 hours with me and me old man.
Got to take the bonnet off this weekend and lift the engine out.

I'll upload some pictures this weekend. Going to rebuild the bottom end stock but use better bearings.
Got a price on ACL Race bearings for $520 so going to throw those in.
Thought while I've got the engine out I'll throw on some extractors so I bought some Stainless Difillipo's!
